Chicago Cubs Tickets ? Player Profile: Alfonso Soriano

People who buy Chicago Cubs tickets for the 2007 season of Major League Baseball will get a chance to see a new face in the outfield, that of Alfonso Soriano. Soriano was brought to Chicago in the off season along with several other free agents, including Ted Lilly, Jason Marquis, Cliff Floyd, and Mark De Rosa. The Soriano purchase was an expensive one for the Cubs, but they intend to get a lot out of this proven talent. The season is underway, and it’s too early to actually say whether bringing in Soriano was a good idea or not. That will have to wait for the end of the season. For now, let’s just learn a bit more about the new guy.

Chicago Cubs tickets are never a hard sell in the Windy City, and especially now that they have added a few more recognizable names, including Soriano, tickets should be even more sought-after. How did Soriano get to be so well-known? Most would say that he earned a lot of fans while he was with the New York

MLB- Bradley Suspended by the Cubs for the Rest of the Season

Milton Bradley was suspended from the Chicago Cubs for the rest of the season after he criticized the team during an interview on Saturday. The suspension was dispensed because Bradley’s conduct was considered detrimental to the team; only time will tell whether Bradley’s behavior may also prove detrimental to his future with the Cubs. Chicago Cubs general manager Jim Hendry made the decision after he was informed of Bradley’s remarks to the Daily Herald of Illinois: the switch hitter complained of being scratched from Saturday’s lineup for a sore left knee and discussed the negativity of the fans, saying, “You understand why they haven’t won in 100 years here.” The response was swift. “Recently, it’s become intolerable to hear Milton talk about our great fans the way he has,” Hendry said. “We pride ourselves on having the greatest fans in baseball, so at this time we felt it was best to send him home for the rest of the season.” Hendry’s decision was

Sightseeing in Chicago by Limousine

In a city offering a vast diversity of sights, experiences, and shopping, using a limousine service is the best way to take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer. Providing door to door service, as many stops as desired without a pre-determined schedule, and an added level of security for the packages one buys, this method for spending a few hours to a day in the city is enjoyable and convenient. If one adds auxiliary services while in the limousine, such as cocktails and/or food, the savings versus other options can significantly offset the cost of the limo.

Chicago is not only a beautiful city, with many worthwhile sightseeing stops, but an architecturally interesting city as well. From the Chicago Board of Trade and Federal Reserve, to the Sears Tower and Tribune Tower, a patron might ask a limo company to arrange a driving architectural tour to rival or surpass the boat tours available on the Chicago River. Chicago Bears History is Full of Successes

Chicago Bears history is extensive considering they were one of the charter teams of the NFL in 1920, when the league was first started. They have played in every season of the National Football League’s history, and have created quite a legacy in the professional football world. A look back in Chicago Bears history shows that they have the most members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which currently stands at 26 players. They also have over 700 wins in their books, which is the most of any NFL franchise to date. They have won eight different championships and one Super Bowl, which puts them second in line to the Green Bay Packers in leading the NFL with championship wins.

An interesting aspect of Chicago Bears history is their former name, which is The Decatur Staleys. The Staleys were established in 1920 as a part of the American Professional Football Association. George Halas, who was the player-coach of the Staleys,

The History And Accomplishments Of Los Angeles Angels

The history of the baseball team, Los Angeles Angels, is amazingly interesting for the fans of this historical sports franchise. The club was actually founded in Los Angeles in 1961 as the Los Angeles Angels and played their real home games at Los Angeles’ Wrigley Field. The team then moved in 1962 to newly built Dodger Stadium, which the Angels referred to as Chavez Ravine, where they were tenants of the Los Angeles Dodgers through 1965.

The baseball team has gone through various name changes in their history, first changing to the California Angels in midseason of 1965 in recognition of their upcoming move to the newly constructed Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim the next year. Next is when The Walt Disney Company took control of the team in 1997, it enormously renovated the re-named Angel Stadium. In fact, the City of Anaheim contributed million to the already 0 million renovation on the condition that both the stadium’s name and the team’s name contain

Watch The Chicago Cubs Online

I’m set to catch all the televised action when I watch the Chicago Cubs online this year. You could, too. Then you’ll see if rookie phenom Randy Wells can continue his astonishing ways in his sophomore outing. Wells, 27, finished sixth in voting for the Rookie of the Year. He went 12-10 with a 3.05 ERA in 27 starts in 2010. The 12 wins and 165 and 1/3 innings pitched were the most ever for a Cubs rookie pitcher since Kerry Wood in 1998 won 13, pitching 166 and 2/3 innings.

Wells led all NL rookies in starts, ranking second with wins and innings pitched that led Cubs manager Lou Piniella to describe him as the best surprise of 2009.

You can see what kind of surprises Cubs fans have in store for themselves in the 2010 season if you get a hold of this great software I found. You will easily download it from the Internet and then just as easily install it on either your PC or Mac. There is a version for both so everyone can benefit from its
