Bartman – the Dark Knight of Cubs History

At one of the Cubs darkest times, an overeager fan took the blame for 100 years of loss and agony.

Though a dedicated fan, a split second decision has turned into several years of hardship and turned his love for his team into his greatest burden.

Not by choice, this man carries the blame and burden of the collapse of a team that seemed destined for the World Series.

Now, years later, fans are split as to the feelings towards this man, this Dark Knight. Some still blame him, while others believe it could have happened to anyone.

In dark times, the true colors of a person are shown. In rare circumstances, a superhero of sorts is revealed.

In the movie, The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne continued carrying the burden of being Batman because he was the only man able to handle that burden. He was the only man able to fight against evil, even when those who were good started to stand against him.

Seeing Downtown Chicago Museums

Deep dish pizza, Wrigley’s Field and Magnificent Mile shopping immediately say “Chicago” to most people. But while the Windy City is certainly known for those delights, there’s also an incredible world of museums to discover in Chicago.

Traditional art museums and galleries dot all the common tourist areas, making it easy to access culture even while in the city a short time. It’s the very unique museums, however, that really offer Chicago the opportunity to make a mark. After all, it’s not every city that offers an International Museum of Surgery Science!

In fact, Chicago is home to so many museums that visitors will have to plan wisely; there’s simply never enough time in a trip to see them all! The following museums would be considered worthy stops on any itinerary.

Museum of Broadcast Communications:

Conveniently located near many downtown Chicago hotels, the Museum of Broadcast Communications is an

Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade Secrets Protects Your Invention!

Patent numbers are issued sequentially, beginning with the number one. Patent number one was issued to Samuel Hopkins on July 31, 1790. It took 75 years for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to issue patent number 1,000,000. Patent number 7,000,000 was issued February 14, 2006. It took only seven years for the USPTO to move from issuance of patent number 6,000,000 to 7,000,000.

What does this mean? Simply, there is more creativity now that at any time in history. The old saw that “there is nothing new” is completely wrong. There has never been so many people and entities creating novel, unique products, technology and services, and so driven to commercialize these inventions. More patents and entrepreneurs attempting to market their products is indicative that there is more competition for successful placement.

It is essential that entrepreneurs protect their inventions. This is a form of insurance. To attempt to market an

Top Global Food and Beverage Companies: Strategies for Success

Global branding in the food and beverage consumer packaged goods industry has never been more challenging. Manufacturers are undoubtedly used to working in a ‘fast moving’ industry but in recent years the pace of change has accelerated. In many Western major food and drink markets, the level of competitiveness has been elevated by low volume growth and reduced margins, brought about by market saturation and the rising cost of raw materials. Added to this, retailers have been hugely successful at building premium offerings that compete head on with brands in terms of quality and value. The quest for innovation is becoming harder, forcing businesses to rethink the way they do business, formulate strategy and deliver on consumer expectations. High Achievers Most Guarded Secret

High Achievers Most Guarded Secret
Finally Revealed-

Do you know any high achievers, if you do, you know they surround themselves with exceptional resources.

Successful investment advisors surround themselves with best of everything, including but limited to: the best people, the best training, the best strategies, the best tactics, the best resources and the best opportunities.

The reason why? Success people don’t want to sit around and try to re-create the wheel. They realize that someone else has already spent hundreds of hours and literally thousands of dollars doing all the grunt work to be successful.

High Achievers want to do everything faster, cheaper, and smarter then their competitors every chance they get. They do not want to waste time or money spinning their wheels trying to find out what work and what doesn’t.

Hello From Chicago – Part 2 – What A Fabulously Photogenic City!

Chicago, Screenz Internet Cafe, Saturday, October 21, 2005, 9:15 am

Yesterday I woke up at 5:00 am Chicago time and I figured I might as well get ahead of the crowd at the Arlington House Youth Hostel and take an early shower. At 6 am I was already on the Internet, recording my first impressions of this exciting city and by 6:30 am I had left the hostel. It was still pretty dark outside and the sun was just slowly starting to come up.

I walked through the quiet Lincoln Park neighbourhood all the way to the Lake Michigan Shoreline where the cool wind was just howling off the lake. Joggers, bicyclists and power walkers were already out in full force. I strolled around for about 15 minutes, but when the wind got too strong I decided to take a bus and head south to a neighbourhood called “Old Town”, near North Street and N. Wells Street. It’s a tidy, well-kept neighbourhood of historic homes and the location of the Second City Comedy Club,
